Greenfield Youth Foundation is all about ending poverty, bringing hope, giving the gift of secondary education to kids who have been left out by their governments, due to financial constraints.
Greenfield Youth Foundation was an idea birthed by three university students with a passion to give back to the community as well as provide a platform on which youths could showcase their talents. The inspiration behind greenfield youth foundation was Socrates Wadyamatahu Mukanda, a devoted teacher, parent, husband and community volunteer who believed in educating every person he encountered. Socrates was naturally a teacher that believed in bringing out the best in people, be it his garden boys or servants or the ever filled up corners of his household where he welcomed lots of visitors and other people. He always wanted to empower people by using education as a means of equipping them for a better future. He offered free tuitions to kids in the community and opened his doors to those that aspired to be better persons and to also attain an education.
